In Celebrity Apprentice Joan makes a shocking comeback. Or was it shocking? Bloggers instantly nailed the final two spoiler as Joan and Annie shortly after Melissa's exit. What was really poor taste was Donald's praise to Joan on her return instead of reminding her to act professional and then boot her for her emotional "prefessionalism". Another show where they are trying to give the final prize to Ms Rivers very blatantly. Also, this season focused on funds, funds, funds. Whereas in past seasons this was about performance as well. I would have been happier to see a Jesse James/Annie Duke square off. Why? Because in all honesty, despite their lives right now, those two have lived a more ordinary life and went into that game with exceptional common sense that the other celebrities sorely lacked.
Desperate Housewives is one of my favorite sitcoms. It reminds me so much of the Knots Landing days. But this season hasn't been a big winner with me like other seasons. First because I hate that we spent all of season 4 waiting for Mike and Susan to be together only to have them divorced Season 5. Second because Desperate Housewives has had great weeks like Edie's death and then the following week is such a huge let down or boring to watch. Like delivering Edie's ashes to her son. Seriously? That was the best they could do as a tribute type of show?
Monday night was all about House. This season of House has given my husband so many interesting ring tones. There was the episode where House says something along the lines of, "I hit that last night and now she's all up in my mack." (not a direct quote) and then there was Thirteen, "If I get drunk I might make out with a stripper or even become one." (again not a direct quote).....the question is if House and Cuddy cuddled up before work will we get another new ring tone when House quips about it at the office? A solid Cuddy/House fan this was a long anticipated moment, with an awesome trailer released on Facebook in advance, but the actual moment was so short and then what? credits! The show is over? Seriously?
Fast forward Tues and Wed because I got bored with Idol, but I did hear that Allison left. Now three boys will duke it out to the end. I was a Danny fan at the beginning so am glad to see my first choice was still in the game. Lie to Me is on our DVR but we're still weeks behind from catching up to this week's House. With ski season, we tend to get behind with a few things on the DVR.
So that brings us to Thursday. My favorite television night other than Sunday. I loved watching the quick generosity on Survivor. I have seen touching things such as this in past season, however there is always one "Richard" on the trible. The big jerk that refuses to play nice or help the girl out because they are selfish or just plain old don't like them. So to see that everyone was supporting Taj was just an awesome moment in Survivor history. I wasn't thrilled that coach stays another week, but I understood Debbie's wild cannon dangerous ways. I just hope next weeks' trailer isn't as bad as it seems for Erin. Unfortunately, JT, Taj, and Stephen didn't see all the horrible ways Coach gloated and treated tribe mates before the merge. As a matter of fact I was shocked when Erin attacked Sierra with him because when her best friend got voted off early they were horrific to her. Oh yes and I do hope they ask Coach just who pegged him Dragonslayer other than himself during this show and where was his integrity in his bus throw with Sierra on the finale night.
Hell's Kitchen was sure to announce a new victor tonight. Only they didn't. Instead they toyed with us and showed the two finalists beginning preparations on their restaurant, drinking a lot, and doing a challenge at Borgata. A good episode but I really wish Fox would jump on the two hour finale thing and just given us two hours with a clear cut winner tonight. This one is really going to be a close one with Paula and Danny both being on par with each other in competitions. It really has boiled down to individual tastes as to who has won. Both seem to be equal whereas normally it is easy for the viewing audience to know who is going to win. I was horrified they brought Lacy back...what happened to the girl who sprained her ankle? It wasn't healed? Or the other girl who left early on in the competition but was rather good in the kitchen except for the night she got the boot. Was Lacy the best they could do? Or is that a form of network sabotage? I don't know but I would probably assign Lacy the dishes in my kitchen.
Well tomorrow night will bring us Wife Swap and Dollhouse. I was sad to learn the Dollhouse might face foreclosure after a short run. After tomorrow night I'll be busy with the weekend but anxiously awaiting Sunday's television.

Post a CommentI agree! That program of Desperate Housewives, with the ashes, just made me shut it off. I think maybe that program has seen its better days. Just watched the end of House for the season! Wow, that was a great ending, powerful stuff.
I enjoyed the article.
We watch a lot of the same shows. It's time for the Warrior Dragon slayer to G-O!!!
You covered most of my favorite shows. Sad to say I don;t get to watch much anymore. Thanks for catching me up.
