Theme from "The Twilight Zone
Not only a fantastic TV show, but also an unforgettable theme song. This is especially terrific to play at a Halloween party if you have surround sound. Get the most jumpy person to stand by a speaker and just suddenly play this song. It's bound to startle people.
Theme from "The Alfred Hitchcock Show"
Along with listening to this song, you should also check out his classic movies this time of year.
Theme from "The Addams Family"
Everyone will snap along with this song. It is recognizable and fun for people of all ages.
Theme from "The Munsters"
Another fun show with a catchy theme song.
Theme from "Unsolved Mysteries"
I used to watch this show when I was a kid plus I have a really overactive imagination. This is why I have a fear of finding a severed head in my bed in every hotel room and think rain could suddenly start pouring down from the inside of my house.
"How Soon is Now" by The Smiths/Love Spit Love
This song has been used in many movies and TV shows. The most recognizable and long-lasting use of the song is probably Love Spit Love's version used on the hit TV show about sisterly witches, "Charmed." The song was also used in a movie about witches, "The Craft." I will always remember The Smiths' version used humorously in the Adam Sandler movie, "The Wedding Singer" (it plays when Linda comes back).
Theme from "Halloween"
It's such a simple little piano melody, but it is quite chilling.
Theme from "Jaws"
Another recognizable song, and one that most people who don't know how to play the piano will attempt to play at one time or another.
"This is Halloween" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas"
This is a cute song from a great Tim Burton movie.
"The Time Warp" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
This is especially fun at a party if people know the dance. If they don't, you can pull up a video on YouTube to watch and learn.
"Feed Me" from "Little Shop of Horrors"
If you like dark and campy humor, this is a classic movie. You'll have the "Feed me, Seymour" line in your head for days.
I'm sure there are others that I'm forgetting, but these are just some of the fun and creepy TV and movie songs that are great for Halloween! Have a Happy Halloween!
