Great Valentine's Day Hotels in Suffolk County, NY

Snuggle Up to Your Loved One in Style

Candice Cain
For Valentine's Day 2011, the trend seems to be surprising your special someone with a night at a terrific hotel. Even though residents of Long Island may feel that there is no hotel in the area that is special enough for a romantic night, there are plenty of fabulous hotels in Suffolk County that can offer a romantic evening.

Marriott Residence Inn - Holtsville, NY
While a Residence Inn may not sound like a super romantic evening, the Marriott Residence Inn in Holtsville is all about the location. Situated steps away from several restaurants (including a Chili's) and the fantastic Island 16: Cinema DeLux, this Residence Inn is the perfect place to spend the night after dinner and a movie. While dinner and a movie may sound ordinary and passe for Valentine's Day, surprise your loved one with a hotel room here. You won't have to worry about drinking during dinner or the movie (because you can get alcohol at the Island 16), and you can have something set up in the room before you even arrive. Romance is in the element of surprise!

Sheraton Long Island - Hauppauge, NY
The Sheraton Long Island, also known as the Smithtown Sheraton, is an elegant hotel located right off of the Long Island Expressway in Hauppauge, NY. With a coffee shop, lounge and restaurant located within the hotel and a variety of other restaurants located nearby, the Sheraton is a great option for people who want to end their Valentine's Day with finesse. Although it is inconvenient to the LIRR train stations, it is easily accessible via the Long Island Expressway. It is easily one of the best hotels on Long Island, based on the quality of its rooms and fantastic service.

Hyatt Regency Long Island - Hauppauge, NY
Also located in Hauppauge on Motor Parkway, the Hyatt Regency is a quiet and elegant hotel that offers a spectacular restaurant in the lobby, Nu. A couple can easily spend their entire Valentine's Day at the Hyatt Regancy: spend a couple of hours in the indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym, have dinner at Nu, then snuggle up in bed and watch a new release movie on your 25" plasma screen television. Pre-order breakfast via room service the next morning, and follow your fantastic night with a fabulous breakfast in bed.

Three Village Inn - Stony Brook, NY
If you are looking for a quaint, cozy and romantic Valentine's Day, look no further than the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook. Recently taken over by the Lessing's family of catering locations, the Three Village Inn offers both a fantastic restaurant as well as a comfortable hotel. The hotel is not like chain hotels-- The rooms are unique from one another and are furnished with classic pieces. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Mirabelle Tavern on property. The quaint town of Stony Brook is within walking distance if it is a nice day, or a very short drive. There is plenty to do: shopping, carriage rides, museums and more.

If you are looking to book a fabulous Valentine's night or weekend at any of these hotels, you can contact the hotels directly or visit the Candy Cain Travel Company, a Long Island Travel Concierge Company that creates reservations and packages for all of these hotels.
