The package is very easy to open and you can see right on the front that you can use this to make onion dip. I bought this to use for the dip I was making for Christmas this year. I decided to follow the recipe on the box to make the onion dip. All I had to do was add one envelope out of the box to a 16 ounce container of sour cream. I added them together and mixed it up thoroughly and then let it chill. I'm glad I mixed it up ahead of time because I wanted to make sure it tasted right. When I tasted it for the first time, I thought it was too salty, so I had my husband try it too. He agreed and said that we needed to add more sour cream. We added another tub of sour cream and mixed it up. It then tasted just about right and wasn't too salty.
We have also tried the directions on the package for the soup. It is perfect when you follow the directions, but you have to think that you add four cups of water, so it is diluted down more than the dip was.
This is a great mix to try for your needs because it is a satisfaction guaranteed product. So you can get a refund if it doesn't meet your standards. I still buy this and use it to make the dip, but I use more sour cream. Also I like the fact that one cup of the prepared soup is only 25 calories. You can use this as a great base for other soups and stews. If you are looking for a product that is easy to make soup or dip with, this is worth a try. Just remember that it is salty if you follow their dip directions. This is a great product to keep in the house for unexpected guests because you can easily use this to whip something up that tastes great.
