Great Ways to Celebrate Your Wife or Girlfriend's Thanksgiving Birthday

Lisa Riggs
Both Thanksgiving and your special lady's birthday are wonderful opportunities to let her know how very special she is to you. If Thanksgiving happens to fall on your special lady's November birthday this year, take this unique set of circumstances to combine the best of both holidays and make this a day she will truly remember all of her life. This article will offer some fun ways to give both holidays attention and thoroughly please that lovely lady.

Cook Thanksgiving Dinner And Give Her The Day Off. If your wife or girlfriend traditionally shops for and prepares the turkey dinner, her Thanksgiving birthday is a wonderful opportunity to give her a break. Start your gift by knocking out the shopping list a few days in advance and tidy up your living space. Let her sleep in on the holiday while you get the bird in the oven and start the prep work for the other dishes. While she sips coffee and does some on line Christmas shopping, you can be peeling potatoes and chopping vegetables. After a long hot shower and some time to give herself a manicure and pedicure, your birthday gal can join you at the table for a glass of wine while you wait for dinner to be ready. She will surely remember this birthday for many years, and count it as one of her very best.

Take Her To A Thanksgiving Parade. Adults enjoy the fun and festivity of a holiday parade just as much as children. Scout out the local Turkey Day parades in your area and choose one that has the best route. An area that also has cafes and shops that will remain open on the holiday is the best option, as that will give you both a choice of places to visit after Santa makes his appearance at the end. Bundle up good and spend the day in the fresh air enjoying the holiday spirit and some great dining and shopping.

Arrange To Have Birthday Cake And Drinks With Good Friends After Dinner. If you have family obligations that must be met on the holiday, arrange to get together with friends after the last drumstick has been eaten and the wishbone has been pulled. She will love the break in the holiday routine and surely appreciate the time to unwind and relax with close friends.

Shower Her With Pumpkin Themed Gifts. With a November birthday, your special lady probably has an affinity for Autumn. Give a nod to the fact that this year the day of her birth falls on Turkey Day and giver her a collection of gifts with a pumpkin theme. Pumpkin Spice candles, a diamond pumpkin necklace, pumpkin shaped home decor items and beauty products infused with pumpkin are all terrific ideas. To top off the evening, you can even put her birthday candles in a pumpkin pie instead of the traditional birthday cake. She will love the thoughtfulness you put into acknowledging the uniqueness of her birthday this year.
