Great Websites to Earn Cash on the Internet

Aster C. Lilly
It's easy to earn a few extra dollars online every month, with little participation. Here are a few websites that I will suggest, and how to maximize your potential with each.

Associatedcontent.com

Associatedcontent.com is a website devoted to the production of articles, videos and other forms of media. I suggest you check it out. If you're reading this article, you're in the right place!

PROS: More money per article, short-term gain. Articles usually pay $2-$10 dollars.
Video and audio content are also welcome. The community of writers at Associatedcontent seem to be at a higher level, goal-wise, when compared to the other websites.
CONS: More competition, higher technical prowess needed, more professional attitude needed.

mylot.com

Mylot has a lot of potential for earning. The best way to do this is by starting discussions. Ask as many questions as you can.

Each time you write a response to a discussion, it earns you 1 cent. Each time someone responds to your discussion, it earns you 6 cents.

You can also earn money from referrals.

PROS: Little work involved.

CONS: Not much money compared to the time investment.

Triond.com

Triond accepts submissions of writing, photos, music, and videos. All you have to do is upload.

I suggest using your camera phone, taking as many simple pictures as you can, and uploading every single day. My experience says that each picture you upload with Triond will earn you one cent every two days. Just upload one-hundred pictures and you can make a few cents per day in revenue for doing nothing! Tag each picture and you can earn more page views when people search for your content.

If you have a simple music making program, like fruity loops, or cubase, it's possible to create your own music for revenue-generating purposes. Just create simple music, and focus on the tag.

PROS: Accepts many media types.

CONS: Lots of competition, not focused on one area.

Blogger.com with Adsense

Blogger is an excellent blogging website. When you skillfully incorporate Adsense into your blog, you have the opportunity to earn revenue!

My main advice is this: focus on a specific topic, such as celebrities, music, fashion, or technology. You earn the most revenue when a purchase is made using your adlinks.

My articles on blogger usually earn about a few cents per day.

PROS: Unlimited opportunity and freedom.

CONS: Adsense is a skillset that must be learned. Unless you focus on a particular area of expertise, most likely you will not generate traffic.

Helium.com

Helium is a great marketplace for writing. I post a few articles every day and advertise my articles to friends and forums.

Here's my hot tip for making money on Helium:

Copy the URL from your Helium Article and post it as your homepage when you post to forums such as Digg, Livejournal, del.icio.us, or Blogger.com. That way, each time you post a response to someone's article, there's an opportunity for someone to read it. Like this:

http://www.helium.com/user/show/[your user number here]

(Put your number in the bracket, silly.)

Don't forget to promote your articles to the social networking sites. There are time-ranges for when people visit major networking sites, the best time of day is right around 4 PM - most people will arrive home at 5 or 6 o'clock and immediately check out the hot new stories on del.icio.us, digg, stumbleupon, or reddit. If you have an article that is truly useful, people will spend time and visit.

Couponmom.com

Couponmom.com was mentioned by an ABC news article recently, this site has many money-making links for stay-at-home-moms as well as coupons and savings ideas. Idea for a housewife or someone who stays at home.

-

To summarize, if you want to make money online, you have to put in some effort online. There's plenty of opportunity out there.

Secondly, you must provide some sort of VALUE to the person reading your article. Even if it's simple entertainment, there must be a valid reason for a content consumer to consume your content.

Don't forget, there's a vast number of money-making websites, and a proportionately large number of websites that do not generate money. It will take a little bit of work, but once you get going, there's no where to go but up!
