Great Websites for Holiday E-Cards

Holiday e-cards can be great alternatives to paper cards and there are plenty of websites available to suit just about everyone's taste. Holiday e-cards may not be possible to send to some of those on your list, and there are times when getting that holiday card through the mail seems more intimate. If many of your holiday card recipients are going to be sitting at a computer most of the day anyway, you might as well let the e-card websites brighten someone's day when they open their email. Some of the websites available to send your holiday e-cards have such an amazing variety of e-cards, the hardest part may be deciding which websites and holiday e-cards to use!

Some e-card websites charge a small fee for memberships but are still more economical than postage and the price of paper cards if you have a large list. Even the websites that do charge still have free selections of holiday cards to choose from, there are just fewer choices. Another great benefit to using websites to send holiday e-cards is environmental conservation. It's a great paperless way to let someone know you're thinking of them while saving trees at the same time. The holiday e-cards can be personalized with a message and many of the websites have such adorable animation, interaction and music. They can even be further customized with adding your own photographs!

A great website to visit for holiday e-cards is American Greetings. They do have a membership available for $13.99 per year and a bonus month is given free. The American Greetings website has a tremendous variety of holiday e-cards and every category had free holiday e-cards. This just means you do not have to pay the membership fee for that particular card. I was impressed that this website also had the most styles of patriotic holiday e-cards for our soldiers and families, and those twelve styles of holiday e-cards were all free. American Greetings website has holiday e-cards to suit just about every need. They have a huge selection of Christmas, Hanukkah, Season's Greetings, and e-cards that simply celebrate winter! Their holiday e-cards include specialties for siblings, sons, daughters, grand children, grand parents, parents, spouses and other relatives. American Greetings has twenty holiday e-cards which can be customized with a photograph and several that have the option of adding your voice. They even thought of those with Christmas birthdays and had a couple of e-cards for that unique category! American Greetings has holiday e-cards for friends, lovers, and pets. The selection also includes humorous e-cards and specialties to let someone know you miss them. Of course they also have many other holiday e-cards including New Year's Day and other holidays throughout the year.

Another great website for holiday e-cards is Hallmark. This is probably the most recognized name in the industry, and I was surprised that they didn't have a membership fee for their e-cards. The selection did not seem quite as large as American Greetings, but they still have plenty of holiday e-cards to choose from considering there is no fee! Hallmark has approximately thirty-two different holiday styles from which to choose. There are also e-cards for Kwanzaa and Hanukkah. The Christmas selection of e-cards includes classic, humorous, and religious. They also have a category simply called "cute" and they definitely are adorable. Hallmark has a great feature I didn't see always available at other e-card websites. They have an option for choosing the date to send your e-cards and the date can be chosen up to a year in advance! I think that's a terrific feature and could be used to set up necessary e-cards for birthdays and holidays at your convenience. If a date is not chosen to send the e-card, then they will be sent within one hour. Hallmark also has the option to let the sender know when the e-card has been viewed by the recipient. Hallmark and holidays are almost synonymous anyway, and the website is a great way to get free holiday e-cards and make someone smile!
