Greatest American Dog: Elvis Vs Presley or Elvis Has Left the Building

Hannah
Wow, what a night on the Greatest American Dog. Poor Elvis finally left the building!

Elvis an adorable Jack Russell Terrier, which by the way is a popular breed among dog lovers, finally lost his chance as the top dog in America. Elvis and his owner David have been a bit of a problem from the beginning. Although it's evident that David dearly loves his little Elvis, he also has a big problem controlling him. In a previous episode Elvis got into a bite fest with a cute Bulldog named Tillman. Poor Tillman he's a little too short and fat to out run a spunky little Jack Russell. Tillman suffered a bite on his face near his eye. Poor Tillman...

Well, unfortunately in this week's episode where there was the task of team performance, and Elvis somewhat fell short of his goal. Elvis's tasks as part of the team was to go over some see saw planks. Unfortunately, his owner with some pressure from others, decided to do it with a leash on Elvis. This didn't turn out as expected. Elvis kept slipping off the planks because he felt crowded by David being too close. Elvis almost got a free hanging when he fell off. A judge later on suggested a harness would have been better, instead of a collar and leash. To Elvis's plus side, he did perform well on the maze when unleashed, and on his own. So much for an owner who tries much to hard. So in the end it was, Elvis has left the building!

Presley is a beautiful brown boxer, whose owner is Travis. Travis is just as good looking as his dog. Presley who has performed well from the beginning was part of the winning team this week. This is the second week in a row they have won the golden bone to the doggie suite. Travis and Presley are becoming very fond of one of the other pairs of doggie contenders. It will be interesting to see where that goes in the following weeks. Travis is a sweet guy, and totally adores his Presley. They're my second favorite pick for Greatest American Dog. However, I still haven't given up on Star and Bill!

Just a little tidbit about Bill. This week it was great to see Bill helping out everyone on his team with the tasks of the competition. He never fails to show what a giving and loving human being he is.

Well, there you have it, another week of fierce competition among the top dogs in America and their loving human companions. After all we know it's a dog's world!

P.S. This is a disclaimer against any kitty cats whose feelings may have been hurt by the subject matter of this article!

I agree. I would have like to see that Bella dog leave. Her owner is so obnoxious. And yes, the woman thet turned on David was the one thet told him to put Elvis on a leash. Also that other lady lifted up the end of the tube for her dog, which wasn't right either. I liked Elvis, I wasn't that crazy about David!

I couldn't believe when that woman turned on Dave, her supposed friend and definitely a big supporter of hers. It was uncalled for. While Elvis didn't do that well, true, there were a couple of dogs that didn't and she DID give her dog an advantage by opening that hoop more.
