Greatest Quotes from the Vampire Series True Blood - Vampires 101
Some of the Best Quotes from the Vampire Gang in Bon Temps
For anyone who's been living in a cave for the last three years, True Blood is an HBO original series set in Bon Temps, Louisiana which centers around a telepathic waitress, her vampire lover and other residents of the area. In the setting of True Blood, vampires have "come out of the coffin", and the public is fully aware of their existence. Other creatures exist, like werewolves and shape-shifters, but most people are blissfully unaware that those beings exist.
True Blood has a great cast: AnnaPaquin (Sookie Stackhouse), Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte), Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse), Rutina Wesley (Tara Thornton), Chris Bauer (Andy Bellefleur), Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette Reynolds), Carrie Preston (Arlene Fowler), Jim Parrack (Hoyt Fortenberry), Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton), Alexander SkarsgÄrd (Eric Northman), Todd Lowe (Terry Bellefleur), Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica Hamby), Kristin Bauer (Pam), Michelle Forbes (Maryann Forrester), Mariana Klaveno (Lorena) and others. The chemistry between the characters is excellent and so is the writing. These factors add up to some great quotes from the show. (Please note that some quotes have been mildly edited for content.)
Denise: You don't wanna be on my bad side.
Sookie: I'm not so sure you even have another side you no-account backwoods trash. (Season 1 Episode 1)
Bill: Can I ask you a personal question?
Sookie: Bill, you were just licking blood outta my head. I don't think it gets much more personal than that. (Season 1 Episode 2)
Lafayette: I was always scared to let him bite me. I don't know, Sookie. I just think that when there's blood involved, a line been crossed.
Sookie: Oh, I definitely crossed a line and glad I did.
Lafayette: Well you go ahead on, hookah with your bada$$. Good for you. It ain't possible to live unless you crossin' somebody's line. (Season 1 Episode 7)
Amy: We are all links on the universal food chain. See, squirrel eats nuts, snake eat the squirrel, gator eat the snake... and we can eat pretty much everything we want. It's the circle of life.
Jason: Jesus Christ! I wanna lick your mind!
Amy: Let's have lunch first. (Season 1 Episode 8)
Lafayette [to Eric]:Don't get it twisted honey, I'm a survivor first, a capitalist second, and a whooole bunch-a otha' sh*t after that, but a hooka' dead last, so if I got even a Jew at an Al Qaeda pep rally shot at gettin' my black-a$$ outta this mutha' f*cka', I'm takin' it; Now whatch' you wanna know? (Season 2 Episode 2)
Eric: You surprise me. That's rare in a breather.
Sookie: You disgust me.
Eric: Perhaps I'll grow on you.
Sookie: I'd prefer cancer. (Season 2 Episode 3)
Jessica: Is it my fault my fangs come out when I get turned on? (Season 2 Episode 4)
Lorena [to Sookie]: Did you know your boyfriend hit me over the head with a 52 inch plasma television earlier tonight? Everyone says they're so thin and light, but let me tell you, when wielded properly, they're quite a weapon. (Season 2 Episode 8)
Godric: I want to burn.
Sookie: I'm afraid for you. [crying]
Godric: A human with me at the end, and human tears; 2,000 years and I can still be surprised. In this I see God. (Season 2 Episode 9)
Lafayette: Jesus and I agreed to see other people, but that don't mean we still don't talk from time to time. (Season 2 Episode 10)
Sophie-Anne: I haven't enjoyed sex with men since the Eisenhower administration. (Season 2 Episode 11)
Andy: Say it with me! Conscious off, d!ck on, and everything's gonna be alright. (Season 3 Episode 1)
Pam: I don't know what it is about me that makes people think I want to hear their problems. Maybe I smile too much. Maybe I wear too much pink. But please remember I can rip your throat out if I need to. And also know that I am not a hooker. That was a long, long time ago. (Season 3 Episode 1)
Eric: You're going to invite me in so I can protect you. Or have passionate, primal sex with you. Or how about both? (Season 3 Episode 2)
Tara: We need to talk.
Franklin: Don't say that. Women say that, everything goes black, and I wake up surrounded by body parts. (Season 3 Episode 5)
Jason: I didn't think I was smart enough to get depressed. (Season 3 Episode 7)
There have been a lot more good lines than just these, but it would take far too many pages to list them all. If you haven't watched True Blood yet, you might want to give it a shot so you can hear these quotes for yourself. If you're already a fan, you can probably see the scenes these lines came from in your head, and you're having fond memories.
