The Green Bargain is on a street corner so it's very easy to find. You can park in the front or side of the store if there is space free. We parked across the street. I didn't know what to expect because I had never been here before. While it has used items for sale, I find it more of a thrift store/antique type store because they offer several neat older items as well as some "newer" used merchandise.
Upon entering the store, the counter where you pay for your goodies is located at the left hand side. There are lots of small items for sale at the counter. Going along the left hand side of the store are several shelves full of interesting knickknacks. The center of the store has some older furniture items, more shelves with various stuff on them and the right hand wall of the store has several additional shelves with other items such as dishes, lamps, knick knacks and even magnets.
The back of the store has a book area and a small room that has discount items inside of it.
The store itself is clean, there didn't seem to be stuff strewn around the floor and everything had prices.
I found the prices to be average. Some seemed a little high but you have to keep in mind that they are not a regular thrift store, they offer some items that you won't find at a general thrift store so that is why some items are a little higher, they're more of a specialty.
I didn't buy a lot but I liked what I did find. I purchased a few books and I found some cupcake liners that were still new in package from a cartoon movie. As an amateur baker, I was quite happy with my find and they were only .50 cents per package.
When I paid, I received good customer service. They had a candy jar where if you bought some candy for a very cheap amount, it would be donated to an animal sanctuary (I believe a cat one). I donated to it but didn't take any candy so that hopefully that would help further.
I would definitely recommend going to Green Bargain. You may not find a lot but you probably will walk away with at least one item.
Other thrift stores are nearby so make an afternoon of it and look up the addresses in the phone book for a fun shopping afternoon. One of the thrift stores is even right across the street called Shamrock Thrift.
