Green Cars and Why Nobody Wants One

Beacuse We Are American

David C. Atkin
This is America, and we hate being told what to do about anything, because we feel that it infringes up on our freedom, we now have a president that would love to remove gas powered cars from this country, and replace them with electric cars, and hybrids.

As Americans we love our cars, and we won't be told what kind of car we can drive, some of the top automotive people in the country were asked about the green car idea, and if it would save the industry, and the general consensus was no it would not.

These people mentioned that the way the idea should work was to add the green car to the lines of car that we already have, it would cost the manufactures millions of dollars to retool their factories to stamp out only green cars, and it would be stupid.

Yes people will buy the green cars, they already are buying them, but if you remove the choice from Americans to drive that car that they like, you might as well just close ll of the factories right not, because they are on there way out the minute they are forced to do this.

As Americans we like to have the choice to drive what we want, and we should what to have a choice, I like a nice V8 powered truck, or a nice muscle car, and I would never buy another car again if they were going to force me to buy a green car of any kind.

It's a matter of principal for me, if this ever happens it would drive my industry in the automotive area out of business, restoration would no longer be needed, everything would go green, and the classic cars would be taken off of the road, effectively ending my business.

As Americans we need to hang on to our freedom with both hands, we should not be forced to do anything that we don't like, Americans enjoy their cars, and their trucks, we love to take the family out for a drive, without being crammed in to a tuna can.

We have always loved the nice big cars in this country, and we are still in America as far as I know, we have not become Europe yet, and until we do we need to hold on to what we have, and not let anybody take it away, so I implore you hold on to your way of thinking, whatever that may be.
