United States of America
I am glad I had the opportunity to write about this timely issue. Pennsylvania has done a great deal to develop this industry, and this article gives all of us a chance to get caught up.
The Rendell Administration
The Rendell Administration spent the last eight years developing green sources of energy. So it comes as no surprise that an Internet search for green jobs in Pennsylvania reveals a number of opportunities. The Rendell Administration was particularly successful in developing wind and solar energy. Wind turbines are hugh and heavy and are not very labor intensive. They are manufactured in factories and usually installed in mountainous or rural areas and away from the general population. There are plenty of them in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Many people complain as they are manufactured in overseas factories, so they do not develop many jobs for Americans.
Solar Panels
There is even a solar energy industry right here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. There is an advertisement in the Verizon telephone book for this industry. The ad is for Rex Plumbing @ Heating in Kingston. They offer free energy from the sun to eliminate your electric bill with a P.V. Solar electric system.
Installing solar panels is labor intensive and there are probably a number of job opportunities in this area. A company known as Greening the House serves Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware, and this company may be the best source of employment in this area. There have been several exciting developments in the solar energy field.
Solar Photovoltaic Solutions
Photovoltaic energy is the most promising and popular form of solar energy. In solar photovoltaics, sunlight is incredibly converted into electricity. This is very different from the conventional method of using sunlight to heat water. Photovoltaic is now the biggest usage of solar energy around the globe. It can be used to power a solar home, especially where there is ample sunlight. It can also be used as portable power, to power anything from RVs to mobile camps.
Solar Thermal
Solar thermal is one of the most economical renewable energy systems, Solar thermal water heating systems accumulate the sun's energy in the form of thermal or heat energy.
This program can save one a great deal of money. The consumer will not need nearly as much gas or electricity to heat water for the home, as the sun will do most of the work. The sunlight heats your water from a regular temperature to a temperature between 50 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. This will drastically reduces the consumer's water heating costs. This system can save a household as much as $1,00 per year.
