Green Giant Stir Fry Kits come in a variety of flavors. For this review, I'll stick with the sweet and sour flavor. The sweet and sour version comes with peppers, pineapple and carrots and a delicious sweet and sour sauce. All you need to do is add chopped chicken breast or pork to the dish to prepare the meal and preparing the meal couldn't be any easier.
The directions recommend sauteing the meat in vegetable oil, but I skip this step to save calories and use a heavy nonstick pan. Once the meat is cooked, you add the vegetables and sauce and cover. The dish then cooks until heated through. It's really that simple.
A serving of the sweet and sour version of Green Giant Stir Fry Kits, before meat is added, has 130 calories, 0 grams of fat, 0 grams of cholesterol, 510mg of sodium, 370mg of potassium, 28 grams of carbohydrates, 4 grams of fiber, 20 grams of sugar, 3 grams of protein, 120% of your daily Vitamin A, 100% of your daily Vitamin C, 8% of your daily calcium and 16.7% of your daily iron.
I recommend serving this with either chicken tenderloins or pork loin that has had the fat removed. That way, you don't add too many additional calories or grams of fat. I also recommend serving this dish on a bed of brown rice to make the dish a bit more filling.
At a cost of less than $3, I highly recommend this product. If you stock up on meat, like I do, chances are you've paid no more than $2 per pound for chicken or pork loin, which means you can have a delicious meal for a little over $5, once you add the rice.
I give Green Giant Stir Fry Kits 5 out 5 stars. They are easy to make, taste amazing and are weight loss friendly. What more could you ask for?
