Bamboo
Some of my favorite cooking products are made of bamboo. Bamboo is a fast, renewable wood source that has a much smaller impact on the environment, than traditional wood sources. Bamboo groves releases more oxygen than traditional wood, so it is healthier to the air we breathe. Bamboo grows much faster than regular woods. It would take around 7 years to produce the same amount of bamboo that takes 35 to 50 years for regular woods.
