Green Marketing and Green Washing
Sustainable Marketing, Organic Marketing, Environmental Marketing, and Eco-marketing
What is green marketing
Green marketing is about marketing things that are environmentally safe. It encompasses all areas of the production and distribution process. Legally speaking, green marketing is regulated by the FTC on a voluntary basis. That means that many companies can stamp a FTC stamp on their product and make sales based on that group of people. The strategy is successful in the marketing world today.
What is green washing
Green washing is the process of making their company and products appear to be green. The system largely depends on the public buying the whole game. Make no mistake, it is a game. It is also a marketing game that works well enough that many businesses use it as a primary technique in their marketing strategies. Millions of dollars have been spent on eco marketing through the process of green washing.
Sustainable marketing
Sustainable marketing consists of the whole process of green sales. You have to provide an eco friendly product for sale, in a green manner and maintain a social responsibility at the same time.
Environmental marketing
Environmental marketing is marketing that is based on helping the environment as a company markets a green product. It has great success in many areas of business today. It helps leave the world a bit greener than it was prior to the business footprint.
Eco marketing
Eco marketing is marketing that demands that a company maintain the standard that the FTC sets forth as law. They have a commitment to using green products and leaving the planet in a better manner then when they begin.
Organic marketing
Organic marketing is about using all natural ingredients in the entire process of product creation to packaging and selling a product.
Ways you can green your marketing
- Use sustainable marketing for your business.
- Add environmental marketing to your projects.
- Integrate eco marketing in the system
- Give organic marketing a chance if your product is green.
- Sprinkle some green washing into your marketing campaign.
What is the difference between green marketing and green washing
It comes down to truth in practice. When a company says that they are green and they fail to use green products in the process of making, packaging and selling their products then they are green washing their customer. They want the identity without having to produce a product that matches their commitment to being green.
