Green Products for Your Bathroom

Stacy M
As Americans have become more and more earth conscience, companies have rushed to meet our demand for planet friendly products. You can now incorporate a little green into every area of your home and the bathroom is no exception. I'm not referring to the color of your shower curtain or your towels but rather their impact on the environment. Here are a five great eco-friendly products you can bring into your own bathroom.

Take cover. The traditional vinyl shower curtains found in most homes are not only lacking style but also contain toxins that can make you sick. A great alternative is to use an organic cotton or hemp shower curtain. You can find a wide selection to fit any décor at www.pristineplanet.com.

Dry off. Can a bath towel be Eco-friendly? It can if it's made of bamboo. These towels are made of 100% soft bamboo yarn and are as kind to your skin as they are to the environment. Order today at www.modernecohomes.com.

Let it roll. Even something as basic as toilet paper can be made better. Switch to Natural Value 100% recycled toilet paper and the planet will thank you. Order by the roll or the case at www.letsgogreen.biz.

Keep it clean. You already know that commercial cleaners are filled with chemicals and very damaging to the environment and possibly even to those using them. But, did you know there are bathroom specific green products that you can put to use in your own home? www.all-greenjanitorialproducts.com has a toilet bowl cleaner that relies on citric acid to do the job and works like a charm. You have to buy it by the case but maybe you can find a few like-minded friends to go in on it with you.

Pamper yourself. For a line of organic skin care products that can't be beat by anything else, commercial or not, I swear by Just Natural Skin Care. Their Acne Facial Day Cream is especially amazing but nothing in their line disappoints. For more information visit www.justnaturalskincare.com.

By making the change, room by room, you will soon be living the Green life and not letting anything go to waste. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Thank you for the article! I didn't even know that you could purchase bamboo towels. I'm having a baby in March and I just ordered her some organic baby sleepwear , and I think the bamboo towel would also be a great purchase for the new baby. Thanks again!
