Green Queen by Australian Gold. Is it Worth It?

When it comes to tanning lotion, there is a lot to contemplate. Does it really deliver true benefits if it excludes certain key ingredients or if it has certain ingredients? Does it really work? Does it smell good? Will it ruin my clothing? Do you think I will have an allergic reaction to it? These are not even half of the questions one may inquiry about before using a tanning lotion, let alone purchasing one.

I am guilty of asking these questions because some of the answers raise a lot of concerns and several red flags. I am not one who embraces the organic, let alone natural concept, but I do appreciate products that do. With that said, I will use a product that is organic or natural simply because my curiosity comes into play and I find products intriguing that actually deliver real benefits without the use of chemicals that are potentially unsafe.

Recently, when tanning at the Tanning Depot in Dillon, Mont., I had the opportunity to try Green Queen by Australian Gold.

PROS

If you embrace the natural and organic concept, you are going to love Green Queen by Australian Gold because it includes only natural ingredients into one natural tanning complex that work together with the tanning bed to create a vibrant and radiant tan. It includes an array of ingredients, such as organic honey extract, vitamin A, organic orange extract, vitamin E, sunflower seed oil, aloe and more. It is also free of both parabens and silicone.

The natural bronzers in this lotion do not smell in this tanning lotion because it does not have any synthetic dyes or fragrances. I have to admit, I like this very much.

I love the smell of this tanning lotion. It reminds me of apples. It's kind of like Bath & Body Work's Winter Candy Apple, but with more gravity (if that makes sense). It is very sweet, but not so overpowering that it is appalling.

CONS

This tanning lotion has a lot of natural bronzing products. If you are looking for a lotion without bronzers or a lotion that provides you with a tingling or sizzling sensation, you are definitely not going to find Green Queen by Australian Gold appealing at all.

If you hate apples or the smell of apples, you are going to hate this tanning lotion.

Full bottles start at just under $23, but you can get them at several stores for even cheaper. Would I purchase this tanning product again? Although my feelings at first were mixed, I have to admit that I actually would purchase it again. Would I recommend this tanning product to a friend? Most definitely, especially to those who embrace the organic concept and can appreciate a tanning product that delivers real benefits without the use of parabens and synthetic chemicals.
