Affordable, Eco-friendly Dates for You and Your Valentine

Valentine's Day is often thought of with the color red, but with all the help the earth needs, we should all try to put a little bit of green into the holiday. Although, for many people, the busy time around holidays can allow them to forget about the importance of living an earth friendly lifestyle year round, try not to let that be the case. These green Valentine's Day date ideas will help you and your girlfriend, boyfriend, wife, or husband have a romantic holiday that is much better for the earth - and yourselves. Here are some great, green Valentine's Day date ideas:

Organic Dinner. Of course, dinner is the go to date for many couples on Valentine's Day, but instead of going to your typical date locale, try enjoying a homemade, organic dinner in. You can either cook the meal alone for your partner or instead, cook the dinner together for added romance. Be sure to choose all earth-friendly products when shopping for the ingredients and pick a dinner you both will love.

Park Date. Even if the trees are snow covered and the weather is chilly, parks still look lovely in the month of February, so consider a romantic stroll through a nearby park for your green Valentine's Day date idea. You can even bring along seeds or nuts to feed the birds and other critters, and write your names in the snow covered ground.

Ice Skating. Ice skating is an incredibly sweet, and eco-friendly, date idea for you and your valentine. Find a local ice skating rink or well frozen over lake to glide across with you and your girlfriend or boyfriend. Afterwards, you can sip homemade, organic hot chocolates while cuddling together indoors.

Bike Ride. Another active, green Valentine's Day date idea is to enjoy a bike ride with you and your love. You can ride through a nearby town or a local park, but no matter where you choose, this earth friendly date idea will allow you both to enjoy some time together while enjoying the beauty of the world around you.

Whether you choose the organic dinner date, a stroll through the park, ice skating, a bike ride, or any other green Valentine's Day date idea, your partner will enjoy spending time with you on this romantic wintertime holiday.
