Green Vally Obstetrics and Gynecology in Greensboro, North Carolina

It is recommended that a female should see a gynecologist by the time she is 18 years old or sexually active. Some parents choose to send their daughter to the gynecologist earlier than 18, especially now that a immunization is available to protect against cervical cancer. While there are many obstetricians and gynecologists in Greensboro, North Carolina I have found Green Valley OB/GYN to be the best.

When my husband and I found myself pregnant with our first child, I called the office in a mode of panic. The front office staff calmed my fears and took some general information from me. They were very polite, caring and helpful. Once I found out that my insurance was accepted, they quickly scheduled an appointment for me to see one of the doctor's in the rotation. Green Valley has one doctor that is strictly gynecology only and does not see any obstetrics patients. The office has a team of six doctors that see both pregnant and non-pregnant patients. Each doctor has their own nurse and they were all very caring, supportive and professional.

At each of my visits I saw a different doctor in the rotation until I had seen all six doctors. After that, I was able to pick and choose which doctor I wanted to visit with. During my second pregancy, I actually chose to see two doctors for the entire pregnancy since I was familiar with all of them. Because you never know who will be on call when labor begins, all patients are required to visit with all of the doctors. While there were definitely doctors that I preferred over the others, all of the caregivers at Green Valley OB/GYN were knowledgeable, professional and caring. Both the doctors and the nurses responded to our questions and concerns and I never felt like I was a burden or a problem for them.

Green Valley OB/GYN has onsite ultrasound, lab, bone density tests and mammograms. All of your tests and procedures can usually be done in the office. Anything that can not be done at the office can be done at the Women's Hospital.

The doctors at Green Valley OB/GYN have practicing rights at The Women's Hospital of Greensboro, which is located just a block away from the office. The doctors are on call on different days of the week and make daily rounds at the hospital every morning to check on the patients that have been admitted for preterm labor or actual labor. I was admitted for preterm labor at 27 weeks and the doctors all had excellent bed side manners and helped to ease our fears of a possible early delivery.
