Greenlight puts the book back in Brooklyn

In fact, if I hadn't been so into listening to Phish, and the unfortunate extra-curricular activities that come with that during my high school and college years, I might have realized how awesome theoretical physics are and that I don't need substances to blow my mind. Michio Kaku can do that just fine.
Needless to say, I love reading about string theory and what exactly goes on in our universe. So I was really excited when I found out that Greenlight Bookstore on Fulton Street was having Colette Brooks come in and talk with science professor Eugene Lang on Thursday the 16th. Colette wrote a book titled Lost In Wonder: Imagining Science and Other Mysteries, which I will absolutely be buying when I head over to Greenlight for their talk.
I hope that name-dropping Kaku and some of the other theoretical physicists I have read about will get them to look past my scraggly hair, dirty t-shirt and checkered Vans. Who knows, maybe I will blow THEIR minds with my own theory on the big bang. Or maybe they will just think I am homeless. Either way I hope to see you there!
P.S. Greenlight has a lot of great readings and talks. Check out their blog for updates on happenings in the store: http://abookstoreinbrooklyn.blogspot.com.
