Chimpanzees share approximately 99.5% of human genes but their diet is a lot different from ours. They consume a lot more green leaves than we humans do. The chimps also work really hard to get their food, by climbing trees and searching through countless number of shrubs. Another significant factor is that these animals do not eat late dinners like humans.
Eating greens on a regular basis would seem like a duty to most of us. Especially kids, who tend to run away at the mere sight of food, unless it is a fried snack or junk food. Well, most of the adults also do that by claiming that they are bored with the regular healthy diet.
Cellulose, the essential part of plants, has the strongest molecular structures on the planet. Greens contain more valuable nutrients than any other food group, all of which are stored in the plant cells. This means that we need to chew our greens until they feel creamy in order to fully benefit from them.
Our tummies also need to have strong HCL acid levels in order to digest the greens. These two conditions are totally essential while consuming leafy and green vegetables. In modern times, we are so accustomed to processed foods that we almost seem to have forgotten to chew a lot of our food. This is something that we all learn during our school days, the goodness of chewing our food using our jaw muscles.
The right kind of food combination is beneficial to human health. It would be wrong to combine starchy tubers with sour fruits or vegetables as it can create fermentation and gas in the stomach. Similarly, it would be wrong to call greens as vegetables because they are not at all starchy.
In fact, greens help in digestion of other foods by enhancing the secretion of digestive enzymes. They are also an excellent source of protein for the human body. Greens also contain considerable amount of amino acids, very essential for the human body. Our body does not create amino acids and we need to get it from our food.
If your body lacks amino acids, you may develop serious symptoms of mental and physiological imbalance and severe cravings for unwanted substances. Such a deficiency can also lead to depression, lack of focus and concentration, lack of energy and attention deficiency disorder.
These above symptoms seem familiar among today's kids. This could be a result of them not consuming enough leafy greens in their daily diet. It is not a wonder that we see so many children falling prey to depression, obesity, attention disorders.
To summarize, greens provide proteins, digestive acids, and nutrition to human bodies. It would be great if we could include more than one bunch of greens per person at our homes every day. This would not only make us feel healthy, but also get rid of ageing signs, wrinkles, leading us to clear skins, great looking hair and totally new you.
