Greenville, South Carolina -- Are you searching for a holiday outing in the southeastern region of the country that features both traditional and non-traditional arts and crafts items as well as gifts? You will want to check out the spectacular 2008 Holiday Fair in Greenville, SC, held at the Carolina First Center (formerly known as the Palmetto Expo Center) on December 4-6.

You will discover over 300 crafters and vendors selling handcrafted items that include Christmas pillows, handmade quilts, large gift baskets, and ornaments. The floor plan is split in half with one side "Holiday Village" for traditional and non-traditional crafters and the other side "Christmas Bazaar" for commercial and retail vendors. Patrons with a niche for creativity have attended this upcoming festival for over 30 years. The time of this fair will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, December 4 and 5 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 6. Adult attendees under 60 years of age are charged $6 for entrance, senior citizens over the age of 60 are charged $4, and children under the age of 12 get in free. This is in addition to a $4 parking fee.

For exhibitors interested in displaying crafts, the deadline for paying for booths with a check and a 50% deposit is November 1, 2008, according to the website www.holidayfairgreenville.com. After this date, only non-check payments in full are accepted. Exhibitors must also possess a license. The crafter's license is $20 and the commercial/retail vendor's license is $50. These licenses may be purchased from the SC Department of Revenue at the Carolina First Center on December 3 between 3-5 p.m. and Dec 4 between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This license is needed in order to charge tax. Even if you have missed one of the exhibitor deadlines or are not ready to participate as a vendor this year, this is a great opportunity to attend the fair to become familiar with the way things are set up and to get ideas for displaying your own handmade arts and craft items in the upcoming years. Most of all, you are sure to find neat gifts to buy for someone special.

Again, you don't want to miss this extravagant Holiday Fair. Bazaars and craft shows are scarce in South Carolina, and unlike with online merchants or outlets such as Ebay, you will see the actual products that you purchase rather than the photo only. More details regarding the full address and directions, exhibitor applications, fee deadlines, floor plan, and photos are available on the website www.holidayfairgreenville.com.
