Greenwich is one of the most affluent towns in the United States and the quality (and prices) at its sushi places generally reflect that.
The following are the three best sushi places in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Abis Japanese Traditional Cuisine
381 Greenwich Avenue
Greenwich, Connecticut
Abis Japanese Traditional Cuisine is a near perfect balance of beautiful Japanese decor and ambiance, with a family friendly atmosphere and sophisticated flair.
Oh, and the food is tremendous. While it offers a very full and diverse Japanese menu, ranging from deep fried seafood to lobster tails to pork cutlet, the sushi here is the staple and certainly appears to be its most popular selection. The sushi chefs here know what they are doing and a popular dinner option is to order the assorted sushi or assorted sashimi entree and let the expert put it together for you.
Open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner, Abis is also a popular catering service for Greenwich area events. They do accept reservations, which are recommended during peak dining hours, particularly weekend nights.
Kira Sushi II
4 Lewis Court
Greenwich, Connecticut
Kira Sushi is a fairly basic sushi restaurant, with good if not great sushi. It's a popular option for lunches and takeout. While it doesn't have the flair of Abis or Bambou, it certainly offers a decent selection of sushi at good prices and friendly service.
Kira Sushi accepts reservations and delivers to most of the Greenwich area.
Bambou Restaurant
348 Pemberwick Road
Greenwich, Connecticut
Sushi is only one of the many things that Bambou offers, even if it does it very well. Bambou is really an Asian tapas place, with great Asian food, top shelf liquor, a well designed interior with waterfalls and plants, and a sense of style that puts it at the head of the class when it comes to an overall sushi restaurant experience in Greenwich.
As you might have already guessed, Bambou Restaurant is not cheap; it is a high end place with high end prices, but the food is excllent and the sushi fresh.
This is a great place for date night, a business meeting or even a social function. They have plenty of room but manage to use strategically placed dividers to make the restaurant seem intimate as well as spacious when need be. Reservations are taken and are strongly recommended.
So if you live in the Greenwich area and like good sushi, these are three excellent options that range from inexpensive and straightforward to trendy and fun.
