Greenwood, Indiana Mall at Christmas

Need to get into the Christmas spirit? Try a visit to the Greenwood Mall in Greenwood, Indiana. Located only 10 minutes from downtown Indianapolis on I-65S, it makes a wonderful way to spend the day. The mall is decorated with the magic of Christmas from the moment you step in.

Santa, surrounded by Christmas trees and a huge stocking stuffed with gifts, is visiting with the children. The look in the children's eyes as they sit on Santa's lap is truly a delight to see. The Christmas train is festive and will bring a smile to all who decide to take a ride.

A display of Gingerbread houses shows how creative some people are. Amazing how they come up with ideas to decorate these pretty houses.

Macys, Sears, JCPenney, and Von Maur, the larger stores in the mall, are beautifully decorated for the holidays. Alll have lots of displays and lots of ideas for gifts if you want to do some shopping while there. Almost every store you could want is located in the mall. The spirit of giving, Christmas and happiness was found throughout the huge mall. It is hard to not smile and be happy in the midst of all this happiness and deligiht.

There are plenty of places to eat, fast food and sit down restaurants are located throughout the mall. With a large fool court located at one end of the mall you will find dining choices that will please all in your group.

Parking is as expected. You can be lucky and find a place close or have someone drop you off at the door as they park further away in the mall parking lot. The restrooms were clean and easy to get to.

This makes a nice trip where you can be around people, see some beautiful Christmas displays, get some exercise by walking, and hear some pretty holiday music. And you don't have to spend any money unless you want to do some shopping or eat while you are there.
