Greg Giraldo's Death Took Comedy World by Storm

Greg Giraldo's death September 29took the comedy world by storm.

Giraldo was found in his hotel room in New Jersey on September 25 after suffering from an accidental prescription drug overdose. His family decided to discontinue life support on the 29th after his failed recovery.

Giraldo's friends have set up a fund to help provide for his three sons' education. Representatives of Giraldo's family posted a message on his website stating

"Greg passed away quite suddenly at a very early age leaving behind his three young sons. So many people have been asking how they can help. In response, a few of his friends have set up a fund to support and educate the boys."

Giraldo was best known for his appearances on Comedy Central's roast specials and was once a lawyer. In 2009 Giraldo released a one hour special on the Comedy Central network entitled Midlife Vices.
