Grey

Tina Twito
Grey cloud ceiling
reads like
a blank page.
Solid. Flat.
Unyielding.

But in the blend,
the gasses spin,
raindrops forming,
fat
and full of life

At any moment,
grey and blank
can shatter
into prismed shards.

All colors
hide
in grey.

Today,
I fill white pages
with black ink
to the point of overflowing.

I wrap myself
in grey life. . .

not empty,
but too much
to read between
the lines.
