Greys Anatomy Character Izzie Stevens is Not Killed Off!

Izzie Will Survive the Metastic Cancer After All, but for How Many More Episodes

Viewers stay seated! Izzie is going to live a little longer then we've expected! Katherine Heigl says that she just might be fighting the cancer that she got on the show. According to E! Online. After not accepting her nomination I definitely thought that Izzie Stevens'(Kathering Heigl) character lines were soon going to be over. Izzie just might be staying around Seattle Grace after all. The website HuffPo said that Heigl also that that her character was going to be killed off too. She was surprised to learn that she wasn't going to stay on for more episodes. On HuffPo she says, "I was assuming that [my character's days were numbered] at one point and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don't know if that's a yes or a no. No one will tell me and I don't know how this is going to go. I don't know if I live or die. I don't know how Izzie fares."

Since last summer the Greys Anatomy fans have been tight in their seats at 9:00 pm every Thursday night. Because of the speculations of her death insiders would be surprised to find out that she might live a few more out even though she was finally diagnosed with stage IV metastic cancer in her brain and liver. Right now Katherine Heigl's character Izzie if finally getting the lines she was starving for by not accepting her Emmy in 2008. Denny played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan was loved by the Greys Anatomy fans so it was good to see his face on the Seattle Greys set!

It was weird to find out that Izzie (Kathering Heigl) would live. Just last year E! Online reported that the producers were going to kill her off, and it was the latest rumors that were circulating around ABC. I guess Shonda Rhimes changed her mind. This might have something to do with her taking herself out of the Emmy race in 2008 because she thought that writers did a terrible job by giving bad material that year. This might have been the reason why the writers were told to take her off the show! An insider from the Greys Anatomy set told reports that "Shonda is pissed." I would be too if I was her. Although Izzie's death has been long waited for by now, it would be an ironic twist because it's been speculated by insiders for so long. After 27 Dresses, and Knocked Up, Heigl wanted to ditch the show.

SPOILER ALERT: The one thing that I want to let you fans know is that Meredith and Derek will have their weddi ng day on the 100th episode, but we all know that nothing goes the right way on Grey's Anatomy. Shonda Rhimes gave away this spoiler news, but why (with good news there is always darkness on Greys Anatomy)?

I love it! Stay tunes to Greys Anatomy on ABC, 9:00 pm on Thursday nights!
