'Grey's Anatomy' - the Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Current Plot Lines

The beauty of a show with an ensemble cast is that every week there is usually something for everyone to enjoy. The series "Grey's Anatomy" is no exception as demonstrated aptly by the March 24 episode "This is How We Do It," which not only featured something for everyone, but which also featured good, bad, and ugly plot lines. Here is how those plot lines break down.

The Good
Call me a troublemaker, a pot stirrer, or someone who is bored with the same old, same old, but I like a little complication in any television love triangle. Along those lines, I am eagerly awaiting what will become of the Avery-Little Grey hookup now that Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) has found out about their romance. After all Dr. Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) did betray Sloan's confidence in hooking up with Little Grey (Chyler Leigh). Let the pulling rank on surgeries and abuse of power begin.

And yeah, it's a bit cliché, the whole Dr. Karev ( Justin Chambers ) and Dr. Fields (Rachel Taylor) hookup, but it will still be fun to watch the manner in which Karev will fumble this latest relationship.

The Bad
Look I know thatMeredith's mom died with Alzheimer and that Dr. Grey and her sticky-note husband are on a mission to save the world, or at least restore a few lost memories with the study they are doing, but enough already. Sticky-note marriage or not, Grey and Shepherd have now become one of the most boring relationships in the history of television. It's time for these two to take their collective heads out of their study and get back to the type of dysfunctional behavior that made Meredith dark and twisty, and Derek her charming knight.

Equally annoying is April's (Sarah Drew) love life. Poor Dr. Kepner http://abc.go.com/shows/greys-anatomy, would someone give this girl a halfway decent love life? Heck, at this point, would someone give her a love life in general?

The Ugly
An accident, really? Is this the best way to handle the whole Sloan-Torres-Robbins baby triangle? What kind of chicken-poop writers are these? They weave this horrendously tiresome plot for a whole season, and the payoff is a car accident that is sure to mangle the baby, or Torres or both, and leave Arizona Robbins guilt ridden for life. Come on guys, did you suddenly realize that you had written this relationship triangle into a corner, and took the easiest way out. Yeah, I know, let's see how this plays out, but it is not looking good. In the words of Izzie (remember her?) this plotline has "coded."
