Grey's Anatomy Surgical Strike by ABC Network Thursday Night

Associated content author Ms. Kobina Wright makes a convincing case for the permanent love of the american television audience for the ABC Networks Grey's Anatomy. In her excellent article: Why You Should Watch Grey's Anatomy. Meredith Grey convincingly played by Ellen Pompeo has so much going on in her romantic life you must wonder how she has any energy left to concentrate on her medical studies. Surgical residents are still learning, that is the whole point of the program.

She looks lost most of the time, which could be said of healthcare in america. Almost half of our country's citizens have no regular source of healthcare other than what can be found at hospital emergency rooms. Guiding Meredith Grey is Dr. Richard Webber the Grace Hospital Director, confidently acted by James Pickens Jr.

Seattle is a prosperous city, grown to maturity by the aircraft industry and now growth is driven by the technology companies in the region. With a very small indigent population, Seattle doesn't have the economic problems that the rest of the big cities in the United States are experiencing. Dr. Richard Webber doesn't have to beg the Federal Government for funds to keep the hospital open, or call on local politicians to keep the surgical residency program going like the staff does at teaching hospitals in other major cities.

This leaves the residents free to pursue carnal knowledge of each other, and medical cases are interlaced in between the panties on the memo board and the hugging and kissing in the unisex locker room just for their entertainment value as heart string pluckers. Grey's Anatomy creator, producer and writer Shondra Rhimes knows what the stay-at-home-moms of america want to see on Thursday nights, and Sunday nights too, Romance! This is not a formuliac show, Shondra Rhimes keeps mixing it up. Why just eat "two big slices of triple chocolate cake" when you can eat the whole cake?

There is something happening on this show for every segment of the American television audience. Senior citizens not interested in hot, steamy, panty posting romance? Meredith Grey's mother is in a facility for the care of Alheizheimers patients after a long medical career at Grace Hospital.

Much of America's healthcare budget goes to maintenance of these poor souls who have no hope of regaining their mental abilities once they are lost to this disease. Could an acclerated program of research find treatments to limit the progression of the typical symptoms? Can we find the money for research in the billions now spent to administer the transfer of funds by insurance companies?

Author Ms. Kobina Wright mentioned that the creator, producer and imagineer of the loves found and loves lost on Grey's Anatomy is a woman. Perhaps this is in Ms. Wrights furture also. Her article can be read at this text link:

Unlike Seattle Grace Hospital the Martin Luther King Jr./ Drew Medical Center (medical school) in South Central Los Angeles is undergoing so many administrative problems that it may be closed due to the federal government withholding medicare funding.
