The most interesting dialogue occurs between Charlotte and Addison. Charlotte confides in Addison that she was raped but doesn't want it to be known. She intends to lie to the authorities that she was robbed. This episode is a must watch because in all of the victim scenarios that I have watched, they held nothing back. Addison comes across very matter of fact telling Charlotte that she needs to have an HIV test, morning after pill, etc... Yet you can tell the subtle emotional backdrop where you can see Charlotte wants to be coddled yet Addison doesn't give in and just maintains being straightforward.
I think the show could use less write in on Violet's character, who was violently assaulted, and her child taken from her uterus. It's been almost a couple of years since and it is still a stigma line in most shows to her character. She couldn't enter Charlotte's room to speak to her. Yet, she finds a way to manage to get to Cooper. Cooper was already drunk at the bar at the celebration for his upcoming wedding to Charlotte. Violet has no problem telling him what happened. Cooper gets in a thither and does the typical smash hand into wall scene. Pete tries to sober him up by administering an IV.
When Cooper sees Charlotte she tries to reassure him that she fine. He has trouble looking at her in her current condition. Charlotte doesn't take light to him calling her a victim.
Charlotte and Addison speak again .Charlotte remains stubborn and declines to report her rape. Pete aids Charlotte in dealing with the pain since she's unable to take medication. Meanwhile, Lee admits to Sheldon that he raped a woman after finding out his girlfriend cheated on him. Sheldon asks one question too many and Lee lunges at him. The police were on the scene to pull them apart. We all know that when a crime goes unreported, the perpetrator will go free.
Fans will stay tuned to see how this ordeal plays through in Charlotte and Cooper's life. It is definitely an episode that will be in the top five list of all the episodes thus far.
