As a gift for all the families in my life, I chose to make caramel popcorn. It is a great homemade gift and I needed light corn syrup. I went to Wal-Mart and started looking around. I had actually bought the Great Value brand before and was going to purchase it this time. I had went to the store and started comparing items and noticed that I could purchase a larger bottle of the Griffin's brand than I could the Great Value brand. I decided to buy Griffin's for that reason. All corn syrups are pretty much the same, so I knew it would be a safe purchase.
I went home and started making my popcorn. I then started on the caramel solution on the stove and used the Griffin's Light Corn Syrup as I always do. I finished the first batch of popcorn and tasted to see if it was the same. The corn syrup had changed the recipe in no way. I have also used this on my pancakes for a lighter change. It has a great taste that can be used as a topping or an ingredient.Griffin's Light Corn Syrup is a great item to keep in your home for your entire recipe and pancake needs. There are so many ways you can use it. It is a great affordable product even when compared to generic brands. It is the original and many times the original is the best. In this case it is the best because the taste is impeccable and the price is acceptable. This is a very easy product to buy at your local grocery stores and Wal-Mart. If you are looking to try a great original, you should definitely give it a try the next time you have pancakes or French toast. You can also use it in all your recipes that call for it as an ingredient. See what you think, you are sure to love it.
