Avalanche. This heirloom Daffodil was once known as "Seventeen Sisters" because it blooms with approximately that many flowers per stem. It has beautiful white flowers with yellow cups, as well as a delightful fragrance. Plant these Daffodils in November or December, in full to partial sun, and they will flower in early spring. They tolerate cold down to zero degrees (unlikely in Houston, Texas) and are drought tolerant, too. These Daffodils are very popular in the South, and are perfectly suited to the Houston, Texas climate. They are a good choice for woodland gardens or to use as groundcover.
Ice King. This hardy flower does best when planted in full to partial sun in your Houston, Texas garden. Plant these Daffodils in November and enjoy their white flowers (with pale lemon cups) in February and March. These lovely flowers can tolerate cold temperatures down to fifteen degrees (unlikely in Houston, Texas), and are drought tolerant, too. This is another heirloom bulb that will naturalize in your Houston, Texas garden. Plant them in November and enjoy their beautiful white flowers in the late winter and early spring. They also have a lovely fragrance. These Daffodils are drought tolerant, and can stand the cold down to zero degrees. They do best in well-drained soil. Thalia Daffodils are a good choice for containers, or to use as an accent plant in your Houston, Texas garden.
