Goldilocks. This perennial Rudbeckia flowers in beautiful orange and yellow double blooms that have a black center. Plant them in full sun or partial shade in April and May, and they will bloom from midsummer through fall. These Rudbeckia do very well in containers, and are a great choice for Houston, Texas mixed borders. They are also self-seeding.
Hot Chocolate. These Rudbeckia have positively stunning flowers of burgundy and gold, with dark brown centers that are dark red in the center. They have mahogany centers with gold flowers edged in orange, and will bring butterflies to your Houston, Texas garden. These Rudbeckia do very well in containers, and are also beautiful when used in flower arrangements. They are also self-seeding.
Prairie Sun. This All-American Selection winner has six inch flowers of gold and yellow with green centers. These Rudbeckia are repeat bloomers, and their gorgeous flowers will draw butterflies to your Houston, Texas garden. Plant them in full to partial sun in either late March or April, and they will bloom in the summer and fall. This is another long-stemmed Rudbeckia that is wonderful for flower arrangements.
Sonora. The rust and gold colored flowers of this Rudbeckia will attract lots of butterflies to your Houston, Texas garden. Plant them in full sun to partial shade, preferably in well-drained soil, and enjoy their blooms all summer. These Rudbeckia are a terrific choice as an accent plant in your Houston, Texas garden; they also do very well in containers.
