Snapdragons, or Antirrhinum, are colorful and easy to grow flowers that are sure to brighten up your Houston, Texas garden. (Snapdragons are not the same as Angelonias, which are also known as summer snapdragons.) They bloom with gorgeous pink, purple, yellow, red and white flowers, and are the perfect choice for winter gardens, as most varieties will bloom from October through June in your garden. Snapdragons are very hardy flowers, and survive the Houston, Texas winters without any problems. They blossom readily in full to partial sun. Snapdragons are a beautiful choice for mixed borders, container gardens, or anywhere you need a splash of winter color. If you think you would enjoy growing Snapdragons in your Houston, Texas garden, try planting some of the varieties below.
