Cora Collection. These Vinca love the Houston, Texas heat and humidity, and are also disease resistant. They bloom in lavender, pink, white, apricot, fuchsia, and multicolor, and have beautiful leaves as well. Plant these Vinca in full sun in your Houston, Texas garden, where they will bloom all summer. They are a great choice for an accent plant, and also do very well in containers. These Violas are also Texas Superstars. They will grow to be about sixteen inches tall, and two feet wide.
Nirvana Series. Another Texas Superstar, this variety of Vinca is disease resistant, drought tolerant, and loves the Houston, Texas humidity. They are also deer resistant. Plant these Vinca in full sun, and they will bloom from late spring through fall in your Houston, Texas garden. These are a perfect choice for groundcover, or to use in a rock garden. They bloom in pink, red, white, multicolor, and many other colors. Nirvana Vinca prefer well drained soil, and should be planted in late spring in your garden. Expect heights of up to eighteen inches.
Peppermint Cooler. If you are looking for red and white flowers to brighten your Houston, Texas garden, try planting this variety of Vinca. Heat and drought tolerant, they are a great choice for mixed borders or to use in your container garden. Plant them in full sun and they will bloom from June through November in your Houston, Texas garden. These Vinca have very pretty leaves, a soft green with white mid veins. Be sure to plant them in well drained soil. This is a smaller variety of Vinca, growing to be about eight inches tall, so plant them in the front of your mixed border.
