Companies are always finding ways to get involved in different product markets. The latest example can be seen with Goddard Technologies Incorporated (GTI) entering the pet market. GTI is a company that has focused on developing products for medical, industrial, and military organizations in the past. They felt that they could apply the same expertise with the creation of the Power Generating Dog Leash.

GTI decided that they needed to team with an expert in the pet industry. They chose to work with Fido Fashions to develop a specially patented dog leash that was self-powering. Neat in concept and sleek in design, GTI created a high tech dog leash that has been designed to fit multiple sized dogs. However it is all of the unique features of the dog leash that make it one of a kind and a must own for every pet owner.

The handle is a ergonomically design that gives the owner a comfortable grip. It is on the grip that there is a locking brake located on the side. This brake can be applied to stop the recoil of the leash whenever desired. Basically, if you want to give your dog a little extra length you can do so by simply pressing the brake on the handle.

Another cool feature has to be the three LED lights that are built into the leash handle. These are high density lights that are bright enough to guide you along during late night walks with your dog. Generating the lights is the amazing part. The LED lights are actually powered by the coiling and recoiling of the leash. Anytime you do this action energy will be created and converted to power the LED lights on the dog leash.

GTI created the power generation through a special patent that they are not sharing. It took years to create the design and they finally feel happy with the product. GTI is still working out a few kinks and want to make the design even more appealing to consumers. It might be another year before we see this leash on the market but it is a cool product to think about owning in the meantime.
