Guide to Activism Using Peta

MB
Veganism is a lifestyle that involves avoiding animals products. Meat, leather, honey, dairy, and down are just a few items that are not used. Once you decide to become a vegan there are many ways to help promote your lifestyle and help animals through activism.

Joining Peta's street team is one option of activism. Peta will provide you with free stickers, vegetarian starter kit, flyers, and more! After you give out all of your Peta activism materials you get points that can be used to purchase clothes, bags, and posters. Peta also offers videos, advice, and moral support to activist.

Tabling is pretty easy and a fun way to meet new people, while actively promoting Peta in your community. Next time you go see your favorite musician set up a table full of free Peta material. Let people browse and offer a free sticker to anyone who signs up for the Peta newsletter. Other popular places to set up a table is the mall, a park, school, or right in front of your house. Just think of kids selling lemonade, but offer some valuable information too!

Send out Peta e-cards to friends and family to inspire others to eat more vegetables. Other online options are to post Peta banners on your website or myspace. The Peta banners are cute and to the point. You can sign petitions to help save animals or donate money if you prefer.

Host an event at school or in a park that includes activities, music, and meatless food. Suggest children write an essay on kindness or post a poster and ask the children what they think about it. Meatout.org features a teachers kit for hosting such an event.

Hang some Peta posters around your workplace and offer some veggie dogs, burgers, or other animal free snack. Throw a Peta party at your house if you can't at work. Grill some veggie burgers, tofu, corn, portobello mushrooms, etc. and have a cruelty free time. Show others meatless is not tasteless!

A lecture or video presentation is another great option in activism. Show an informative film and offer snacks. You can easily combine methods in activism. Lifestivals are festivals or fairs that combine elements of other types of events. At a lifestival you can provide all of the steps above to produce the ultimate Peta protest.

Protesting doesnt have to be crazy or end in you going to jail. Simple methods of Peta activism work, are free, and fun! Go visit Peta2.com today for your free stuff!
