Come early, but not too early
Trying to arrive early and beat the crowds is a smart idea, but avoid trying to be too early or you will just waste your time. When attending the NBA Finals games in Dallas, spectators should avoid arriving at the arena too early. The parking areas will open two hours before the game and stay open two hours after it ends. However, you will not be allowed to park overnight.
Tailgating is not allowed in the parking areas as well, so no grilling out or consuming alcohol in the parking areas. You cannot bring alcoholic beverages to the game and must provide proof of age to purchase them in the arena. The only pets that will be permitted are those accompanying disabled guests - this should be made known when purchasing your ticket so special arrangements can be made.
Restaurants around the arena
Many fine restaurants are located around the arena where you can eat dinner before going to the game with a variety of dishes to enjoy.
If you're searching for a place where you can sit back and eat a relaxing meal in style, Kenichi or Victory Tavern are excellent options, both of which are located at Oak Lawn, Uptown.
On the other hand, if you want a nice family restaurant where the kids will feel comfortable, Neo Pizza Napoletana by Olivella's is an excellent Italian and pizza place also located at Oak Lawn, Uptown.
