Maybe you've heard about WonderCon 2010 in San Francisco. A friend mentioned it, or you read it in a magazine. Or maybe, as far as you know, WonderCon 2010 is a Yugoslavian Dance Festival. Well, remain in the dark no more, for this guide to WonderCon 2010 in San Francisco will illuminate all the important information.

Guide to WonderCon 2010: A Brief Description

Wonder Con is primarily a comic book convention, where the best and the brightest of the industry gather to meet their fans and share upcoming news. Over the years, however, Wonder Con has expanded to include a sampling of all the entertainment industry, including movies and television. In this respect Wonder Con is very similar to its sister convention, the famous Comic Con International.

Registering with WonderCon 2010 in San Francisco

If you've decided you want to go, there are two ways to register for Wonder Con 2010. The first way (a good choice if you have a credit card) is to register online at the Wonder Con 2010 webpage. You click on the button that says registration, and follow the steps given. Online registration for Wonder Con 2010 isn't available yet, so you might have to check back with the site, or follow it on twitter.

A second way to register for Wonder Con 2010 is to register in person. You basically show up at the door with your money to gain entrance. This option is good for people who are indecisive and don't want to register until they know the full schedule, but it's a little bit dangerous, because there is always the chance they might be sold out. If you live pretty far away, you should probably use the online registration for Wonder Con 2010.

Staying in San Francisco for WonderCon 2010

Once you've made your purchase and it's decided: you're going to Wonder Con, the next step you should take is arranging transportation and finding a place to stay. Transportation is probably easy. You already know if your car can make the trip, or if you're going to need a plane ticket. Finding a roof for the convention's duration is a little trickier. If you're lucky, you know someone living nearby, and can room with them. Otherwise, start looking into cheap hotels. One way to go about this is to visit (again) the Wonder Con 2010 website and look at their suggestions... they are often good ones!

Attending WonderCon 2010

Once you're there, there are just a couple more important things to remember. First, get there early. These things are crowded! Next, bring a camera. You're not going to want to miss a photo op with Wonder Woman and the cast of Stargate: SG-1. Buying one at the convention can be pretty costly, so try to pick this up before you get there. Also, pick up a programming schedule, and prioritize the panels. You won't be able to see everything, but if you plan it right, you should be able to see all your top choices. And naturally, bring some money! Try to keep a fair amount of cash in hand (some booths won't accept credit cards). Lastly, have a backup plan for the food. Convention food is something overpriced and under-flavored.

All right, WonderCon 2010!

If you follow this guide on how to attend Wonder Con 2010, you should be pretty set. Remember, the point is to have fun at the convention, so try as much as possible to prepare in advance. That way, when you get there, you don't have to worry. P.S. don't forget to be excited! Meeting all your favorite comic book writers and celebrities is kind of a big deal.
