Perhaps best known for its history in the pottery industry, the city of East Liverpool is home to a number of interesting attractions relating to that particular industry. However, it is also home to a number of other attractions that make this charming city on the banks of the Ohio the perfect place for a weekend visit or an extended vacation.

Museum of Ceramics

Housed in the building that was once the city post office, the Museum of Ceramics holds a substantial collection relating to the heyday of ceramic production in East Liverpool, which occurred between 1840 to 1930. Exhibits include a number of items, ranging from photographs to ceramics to life-sized dioramas. The Museum of Ceramics is one of the finest attractions in East Liverpool, and is currently open Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission for adults is $4 (with lower rates for students,) and a number of guided tours are available. Hall China Company

Located right in East Liverpool, the Hall China Company has been producing fine china for a number of years. Visitors to the city will find this charming plant an ideal place to visit, as it gives visitors the opportunity to not only purchase delightful and beautiful china from the outlet store, but also lets them tour the facility to see how the objects are made. Guided tours are available Monday through Friday starting at 10 a.m., while the outlet store is open the same days, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those who wish to contact the Hall China Company may do so at the following information:

Lou Holtz Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame and Museum

Founded with the purpose of commemorating those who have been successful in various walks of life and who have had a positive impact on the Ohio Valley, the Lou Holtz Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame and Museum is an ideal place to visit for those who want to get a glimpse into the life of this fascinating region of the United States. There are a number of exhibits on display at the museum, including a band organ, a model of the famous boat the Delta Queen, and a number of exhibits related to Pretty Boy Floyd (whose body was sent to East Liverpool for embalming.) The Lou Holtz Museum is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those who wish to contact them may do so at the following information:
