Birkman Yoga, or also known as "Fire Yoga" was created by Birkman Choudhury. After emigrating to the United States from India, Choudhury moved to Beverly Hills to teach his self-founded Birkham's Yoga College of India in Los Angeles, California.

Birkman Yoga is basically a style of yoga that is practiced in a room heated to 105 degrees Fahrenheit with a humidity of 40%. Birkman yoga is for all stages of yoga classes. The class is guided through a specific dialogue that included 26 different postures and two different breathing exercises. Each Birkman Yoga class will last approximately 90 minutes.

Birkman Yoga was specifically designed to stimulate and restore health to every muscle, joint and organ of the body. The reason why Birkman Yoga is done in such a high heated room is to promote large amounts of sweating that is said to rid your body of toxins and also make your body very flexible. Birkman Yoga is a system of wellness, rejuvenation, and restoration. Along with the yoga postures used in this specific yoga practice and the heated studio, Birkman Yoga makes it easier for deep stretching to occur, it prevent injury and relieves stress and tension from the body.

Some of the 26 postures Birkman Yoga integrates into the routine are Pranayama Series (Standing Deep Breathing), Savasana (Dead Body Pose), and Tadasana (Tree Pose). For all the 26 postures visit
