The entire city gathers together for a community wide sing-along that lights every soul up for the holiday season. The Kentucky Christmas Chorus is what it is called by and it is led by the wonderful Lexington Philharmonic and the Lexington Singers. Many local school choirs attend as well as local church choirs. The Annual Lighting

In Lexington, Kentucky however, the city comes together in a big way for the annual lighting of the Christmas tree. It is the city's official holiday kick-off celebration and it cannot be missed. Placed in beautiful Triangle Park, the tree is often donated by a local Lexington property owner, which makes it even more special. The lighting starts shortly after the Thanksgiving holiday at dusk. However before the annual lighting, you can find entertainment at Holiday Live. Holiday Live is a great celebration with holiday music and activities for children of all ages. There is no charge to attend the lighting, which makes the event even more worthwhile for families all over the city.
