The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is one of the largest and busiest library systems in the country. There are 40 neighborhood branches around the city.

The Cincinnati Library has mixed technology and history to make a deep collection of resources easy to search and enjoy. Most of the branches offer the user of computers with internet for free with a library card and have free Wi-Fi available for patrons with their own laptops. The library's website makes it easy to find out whether the material you are looking for is in the collection, and if it's available. The Main Branch of the Cincinnati Library, located in the heart of Downtown is the largest of all branches. This two-building complex is home to movies, music, books, magazines, and all the reference materials you could wish for. It is well organized, efficient, and a great place to work or study. You can take advantage of the wireless internet, or simple read in silence. A number of reference desks throughout the library offer assistance to find anything the computer can't show you. Mt. Healthy Branch

This branch is located in a family friendly neighborhood and features as many materials for children as for adults. Convenient to the main street in Mt. Healthy, you can do all of your errands and grab a book without ever hopping in the car.

Corryville Branch

Regular Free Activities: Cardmaking, Preschool Storytime

This branch has the special honor of being housed in an historic Andrew Carnegie building. It's worth a stop here just for the architecture. A 5 minute walk from The University of Cincinnati campus, you will find a quiet nook to study in or a movie to watch after class.

Clifton Branch

Located in a neighborhood peppered with University of Cincinnati faculty, staff, and students, this branch has many programs and materials geared toward people who are new to Cincinnati. They have a great collection of classics and art films as well.

Northside Branch

Location: 4219 Hamilton Ave, 45223

Regular Free Activities: Knot Only Knitting, Teen Movie Madness

Located in a unique and more liberal part of town, this branch offers a meeting place for many community events. Check out the books on CD and the new non-fiction books at this branch.
