Gas pains are something that most every one of us has experienced. It is usually a feeling of fullness or tightness around the abdominal area which is oftentimes accompanied by pain and sometimes loud growling sounds coming from your stomach. This signals you that food you just ate was not properly ingested by your body. Without the right amount of water, excessive gas pains might be experienced. Water is a big help when it comes to digestion because it allows the body to go through its usual daily functions smoothly. Gas pains are caused by a lot of factors, the most being the buildup of intestinal gas. Other causes of gas pains include overeating, lactose or fructose intolerance as well as other food intolerance, and gastric distention. Gas pains however, are something that can be treated right away. Here's a short guide to easing gas pains.

  • Certain fruits and vegetables can also cause a lot of gas to form in your body such as cabbage, cauliflower, onion, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, baked beans, whole wheat, peaches, pears and apples.
