Guide to Eco-friendly Playground Equipment for Kids

ChristyL
Playground equipment made from responsible materials such as recycled plastic or wood is considered eco-friendly. Many of the plastics come from recycled items such as milk jugs. Recycling helps save natural resources. Recycled materials give kids a chance to learn about environment friendly products. Another benefit of these products is not getting splinters. The old style wood structures can splinter and rot. These old structures often contain minerals and chemicals that can leach into the environment.

All of the equipment companies featured here have age appropriate structures available. When I mention structures I am referring to those large units that usually contain climbing areas, swings, slides and interactive areas.

In this day and age, being able to use recycled products gives our children a gift of the future. Our children can learn an important message from us. They can learn how to recycle our trash into wonderful and fun items. Recycling can help our future and that of our children by using up items that would otherwise clutter up our landfills.
