Those are simply some of the most common types of problems people may have when using Emotional Freedom Technique as an effective therapy. EFT has also been known to help physical problems, such as chronic pain and injuries. A lot of times, even in physical problems, they can manifest from bad feelings, stress and worry. This is why EFT can be a great therapy even when it comes to this.
There are at least a couple of other, lesser known treatments that are similar to EFT. One is known as Reiki, which is a Japanese technique that is meant to help a person relax, ease built-up tension, and reduce stress. In this, the therapist touches specific pressure points on the body to accomplish the stress-reduced feeling. Reflexology is another similar treatment, an ancient therapy of finding pressure points in the feet or hands and releasing your negative emotions through this.
Emotional Freedom Technique is the newest method of these, but it is quickly taking the scene and becoming the all-out winner, for how quickly it begins to work, for its long-term effects (depending if you apply the method to the actual base of the problem, or just the symptoms), and for the wide range of issues that it can work with.
The great thing about EFT is, once you learn the proper pressure points, you can do it yourself. You don't even have to learn by going to a therapist, but by reading various resources around the internet such as this, that will show you all the pressure points that need to be located and tapped while you are thinking of your negative thoughts that are inhibiting you. However, many people do feel more comfortable or simply prefer going to a therapist. More and more therapists are offering EFT therapy, and it can be great used in combination with talking about the problems afterwards.
Emotional Freedom Technique is basically just what the name says - it is very emotionally liberating, and for most of us, this liberation begins to become apparent after just a session or two. Of course depending on the problem it may take several sessions or a few months worth (usually the latter happens with strong addiction problems), but its becoming known as the most quick and effective therapy method out there.
