Trunk or Treat in Downtown Rogersville
Ghouls and goblins, witches and warlocks, ghosts and things-that-go-bump-in-the night along with maybe a Superman and Spiderman and maybe even a Raggedy Ann all make their appearance on Main Street in Downtown Rogersville in Northeast Tennessee on Halloween. Sponsored by the Rogersville Main Street Program, Trunk or Treat is an event perfect for kids and kids-at-heart. Cars with their trunks open and decorated line Main Street with their owners in costume handing out treats for the kids. The business owners get in on the act, too, with decorated windows and shop owners and employees being dressed in costume as well.
Trunk or Treat will be on Saturday, October 30, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to have their vehicle as a part of the Trunk or Treat Halloween event must fill out an application prior to the event, because background checks are conducted in order to make sure that all is safe for the children. In addition, there will be a costume contest, hay rides, and a fortune teller. For more information, see: www.rogersvillemainstreet.com.
