Guide to Feng Shui Bathroom

Peace and serenity is what Feng Shui in your bathroom should be like. You will want a place where you can find your balance and keep all your positive energy in. The Spiritual Feng Shui at, www.thespirtualfengshui.com, says that "Feng Shui (pronounced "feng shay") is an ancient Chinese art whose name translates from the Chinese as "wind and water". There are many things you can do to have a great Feng Shui bathroom.

The first thing that you have to understand about Feng Shui is that your goal is to balance your energies. Feng Shui believes in the Ying and Yang balance in a person's home. So it takes the five natural elements, and it arranges them in your life to create harmonious flow. In the bathroom your main focus would be on the water element. Bathrooms tend to drain energy, and that is why the bathrooms are so important in Feng Shui.

In having a Feng Shui bathroom you will want your bathroom to release its negative energy from your house and life, and let in the positive energy. Your bathroom should have a spa like quality to it. If you bathroom is not centrally located in the home, you may want to paint your bathroom in pure whites, pale blues, and light grays. The color blue is Yin energy. It is supposed to be a very relaxing color that will soothe and calm you. You should feel trust and peace when you look at the color. White is also a Yin energy which should bring purity and confidence. You should feel calm when looking at the color. Light gray is kind of a combination, and you should feel healing when looking at it.

If your bathroom is center of the home, you may consider painting it red to balance the energies of your home. It is Yang energy. In Feng Shui the fire element, which is red, will increase wealth. You may also want to add a red rug near the toilet to help against wealth loss. It is a very powerful Feng Shui bathroom color.

There are some things you should always remember when having a Feng Shui bathroom. Always remember to close the bathroom door and toilet lid so that the positive energy does not escape. Your bathroom needs to be clutter free, and it must be very clean so that positive energy can remain strong. You will need lots of different levels of light in your bathroom. So make sure you have lots of mirrors and candles around the bathroom area.

You may also want to keep your windows slightly open, and make sure you have a good air ventilation system. Have essential oils in your bathroom, and keep stalks of bamboo around to help with wealth. You can also add the elements of earth by having fresh flowers or a bowl of stones near the toilet so you can help the water element. Just make your bathroom your own relaxing private spa, and let your Feng Shui bathroom fill you and your home with positive energy. Bring balance and peace to your life by having a Fen Shui bathroom.

Feng Shui-ing a bathroom is probably a good way to get started since it is generally a small room. Closing the toilet lid is a good idea even if you are not into Feng Shui.
