The first thing that you need is to find out what occasion you are planning to make French toast for because you need to pick your cookie cutter. The cookie cutter will bring in the occasion part of your French toast recipe. Because Valentine's Day is coming I will start off the tutorial with choosing your favorite Valentine's day cookie cutter.
This is a real easy recipe that your kids can help you with, or if you are a college student and need to surprise your sweetheart with breakfast in bed. This is a recipe that my Mom has taught me and I am willing to share because her French Toast is the best! It is so easy to make, and it will impress anyone!

French Toast in 10 minutes
1.) The first thing that you need to do is gather your ingredients
a. 8 slices of your favorite bread
b. 1 cup half-and-half
c. 4 large eggs
d. 2 tablespoons honey, warmed in microwave for 20 seconds
e. 1/4 teaspoon salt
f. 4 tablespoons butter
g. 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
h. ΒΌ teaspoon of ground nutmeg
i. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
j. 1 cup of maple syrup
k. Cut fruit/powdered sugar (optional)
2.) If you are going with the cookie cutter idea you need to take each slice of bread and cut it with your favorite shape. This isn't necessary if you want to have regular looking French toast.
a. Stack your bread pieces on a plate
b. Get a mixing bowl that is big enough to put your bread slices in.
3.) Mix in the large bowl: half & half, eggs, honey, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract. After all the ingredients are in stir until mixed
a.) Stir well
4.) In a medium sized frying pan start your stove on medium.
a. Put your butter in the pan
5.) After the butter has melted take your first slice of bread and dip it into the wet mixture until it is completely covered on both sides with the egg mixture.
a. After its covered, place the bread in the pan.
b. Flip it in 60 seconds.
c. Keep flipping the French toast every 60 seconds until the toast has browned nicely on both sides
6.) After it has browned take it out of the pan.
a. Place your cut fruit on top
b. Drizzle maple syrup
c. And sprinkle some powdered sugar
VIOLA! You have French toast in 10 minutes. This is a really simple recipe that is great for breakfast. This is also good if you want to have a girls night out and have comfort food with a few of your friends.
