Idalia Benavides
Do you use Mozilla Firefox to browse the internet currently? Well if you don't, then it's time for you to do so, as there are so many advantages that come along with it. Mozilla Firefox is an internet browser that does so much more than Internet Explorer ever could; Firefox will make you wish that you'd downloaded it a long time ago. If you are really attached to IE though, there's an extension that allows you to view pages in Internet Explorer without ever leaving Firefox. If you don't have Mozilla Firefox installed on your computer already, visit www.firefox.com and install the newest version available for download there.

In this article I am going to be walking you through the steps that you need to take in order to add more search engines to your Firefox search box that's located on the top right hand corner of your browser. There are so many wonderful search engines, that you don't want to miss out on having them at the touch of a button, so lets get started!

1. Open up your Mozilla Firefox Web Browser.
Tip: Before installing other search engines, check to see which ones you have. You can do this, by clicking on the pull down menu right next to your search box and maybe making a mental note of which ones you have and don't have.

2. Type www.firefox.com on the address bar.
Note: you can reach the Firefox page by going to www.mozilla.com as well.

3. Look for the Add-ons tab on the top right hand corner and click it.
Note: If you don't see this tab at the top of the page, you're on the wrong page and you should check your address bar to make sure that you're at www.mozilla.com or at www.firefox.com.

4. Look for Search Engines on the left hand side menu and click it.

5. Surf the page to find which search engine you would like to add to your Mozilla Firefox search box.
Note: Install at least four more to optimize your browser a lot more.
Tip: Having "The Weather Channel" search engine is always good, as you will be able to get local or national weather by just entering a city, state, or zip code and hitting enter.

6. Click on the one that you would like to install.

7. Check the box that appears when the Add Search Engine window comes up so that you will be allowed to start using this right away.

8. Hit add and you're ready to use it.
Note: You should try it out right away to see if it's one that you like, if you don't like it, not to worry as they are all removable.

9. Repeat steps 1-8 to add more search engines.
Tip: You can add all of the search engines you want, so if you want to add them all, just go ahead and do so; they will make your browser that much better, and you will avoid having to go to each of the search engine's websites to use them.
